Discount PlayStation 3 Wireless Sixaxis Controller

The most obvious flaw about this controller is the lack of rumble. Does sixaxis make up for it? No, because sixaxis is hardly even used in any of the games out today. And the games that you do use the sixaxis function in, is only a minor aspect of the game and its controls.

That said, the controller is lightweight. And I do like the fact that it uses USB cables, for charging and playing while connected -- and I like the fact that it's an internal battery, unlike the XBox 360.

Another flaw are the L2/R2 buttons. Sony has now modified them like "triggers." Although I agree that the L2/R2 buttons should be made like triggers (for shooting/racing games), as opposed to buttons (PS1, PS2); Sony did not make these "triggers" to fit comfortably in the contours of your fingers. XBox and XBox 360 controllers have their trigger buttons actually shaped like gun triggers, which not only makes shooting games feel more realistic, but its trigger-like crevice fits naturally into the contours of your fingertips. With the PS3 controller, the semi-outwardly-rounded surface of the L2/R2 buttons is essentially the same as the PS1/PS2 controller, except the buttons "pull" in like a trigger rather than presses. The fact that these buttons are not "indented" like a trigger allows for your fingers to slip from the L2/R2 buttons, instead of sitting comfortably within the crevice of the triggerl ike on the XBox 360.

That said, the analog sticks feel much more flexible than the PS2 analog sticks, which is great. The function with the central button (with the "PS" logo) to access the menu screen, assign internal memory card slots, assign the controller, power on/off the PS3, etc., is a nice adaptation (pretty much the same function as the central button on the XBox 360 or the "home" button on the Nintendo Wii). It's lightweight, easy to use, and will be familiar to people that played the PS2 and/or PS1.

If it had rumble, and its triggers were creviced like triggers, then this would be a superior controller to the XBox 360. Both are nice controllers, but the slight edge goes to XBox 360.Get more detail about PlayStation 3 Wireless Sixaxis Controller.
