If you are buying one of these controllers, you probably already have a PS3 and are buying a second controller so you can play 2 player games. Well this controller is identical to the one that came with my 60GB PS3, except for some reason you pay $40 for a controller and it doesn't come with a USB cable to charge it! I don't know what sort of logic that is. So now I have 2 controllers and one USB cable to charge them with.
The charging situation for the PS3 is already a bit shaky. First they give you a wireless controller, that's great. But to charge it you have to plug it into the PS3 WHILE IT'S RUNNING, they won't charge with the PS3 off. So you either sit right next to the PS3 and play while the controller charges, or you leave the PS3 running just to let the controller charge.
Otherwise it's a fine controller, the genuine Sony controllers are generally regarded to be the best quality and the other brands seem to have some drawbacks and aren't that much cheaper.
